YouTube CEO congratulates MrBeast on reaching 300 million subscribers
Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson has achieved a significant milestone, becoming the first content creator on YouTube to reach 300 million subscribers. This accomplishment, reached on July 10, 2024, comes just weeks after MrBeast overtook T-Series to become the platform’s most-followed channel.
In recognition of this milestone, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan congratulated MrBeast in a message on Twitter/X on July 11. “I’d say congrats on 300M subs, but by the time I tweet this, you may already be at 400M,” Mohan joked. As of now, MrBeast has yet to publicly respond to Mohan’s tweet.
Reflecting on his journey, MrBeast shared his amazement at his success. “I remember freaking out when I hit 300 subscribers 11 years ago… Lol,” he wrote in a post, linking back to a video celebrating the milestone in 2013.
MrBeast’s career has seen significant growth over the years, culminating in his upcoming game show, ‘Beast Games,’ set to air on Amazon Prime Video under a $100 million deal. Beyond his viral videos, MrBeast has leveraged his success to establish a charitable foundation. His initiatives include funding cataract surgeries, cochlear implants, and building houses for unhoused citizens in Jamaica.

In addition to his entertainment ventures, MrBeast has expressed interest in a future political career. He has stated his willingness to run for President of the United States if the age limit is lowered. “If I were President, I wouldn’t care about party lines. I’d just always truly make the American people my #1 priority,” he claimed, adding humorously, “Anyways, we can pick this up in 15 years when I’m old enough to run, haha.”
For now, MrBeast remains focused on his upcoming TV show and continuing to create viral content. As he approaches 400 million subscribers, his influence and reach in the digital world show no signs of slowing down.
