Who is Drake’s baby mama, Sophie Brussaux? The ‘God’s Plan’ rapper met the French artist in 2017 – back when he was linked to Jennifer Lopez – and initially denied being their son Adonis’ dad
So who exactly is Sophie Brussaux, who’s been dragged back into the picture thanks to her ex’s feud? Here’s what we know about Drake’s baby mama …
Where is Sophie Brussaux from?
According to her website, Brussaux was born outside of Paris, France, to a “hard-working breadwinner” father and a “doting housewife” mother. People magazine notes that she currently lives in France, and that her and Drake’s son Adonis already speaks decent French.
She is an artist
In November 2019, she shared a photo of her gifting her portrait of the pope to him in person. “Such an honour to meet Pope Francis and gift him the portrait I painted for him in honour of his concert with and for the poor on Nov 9 2019,” she wrote on Instagram.
It’s unclear whether she used to be an adult film star – or a model
Before showing off her skills as an artist, Brussaux reportedly worked in the adult film industry, according to People. However Billboard suggests she was simply a former model – who went by the name Rosee Divine – who appeared in music videos.
How did Drake meet Sophie Brussaux?
Drake and Sophie Brussaux have had their ups and downs
However, in June 2018, a DNA test proved that Drake was indeed the dad, per People. In his song, “March 14”, he addressed the situation with the verse, “She’s not my lover like Billie Jean but the kid is mine/Sandi [Drake’s mum] used to tell me all it takes is one time, and it took was one time/S***, we only met two times, two times.”
These days though, Drake appears to be a much more doting dad. “I am a single father learning to communicate with a woman who, we’ve had our moments,” Drake told LeBron James on The Shop in October 2018. “I do want to be able to explain to my son what happened. But I don’t have any desire for him to not love his mother.”
