Job description: Job Description:We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including processing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions

• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy

• Maintain the general ledger and make necessary journal entries

• Oversee month-end close processes

• Utilize various software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for accounting tasks

• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all accounting tasks

• Assist in the resolution of customer inquiries related to accounting

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Understanding and experience with bank reconciliations
• Knowledge of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Ability to prepare and record journal entries accurately
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Professional certification like CMA or CPA is a plus
• Willingness to continually update knowledge and skills in the accounting field.

Expected salary: $22.16 – 25.66 per hour
