As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead by optimizing toward autonomy, ownership, accountability, empowerment, and the overall health of the team.You will guide a team of engineers on large-scale products and services while working closely with stakeholders to define product goals and priorities. As a manager, you will work with functional peers to set the strategy and mission for teams.You will direct a team and will often lead day-to-day work, the development of direct reports, and be responsible for the software architecture, quality, scalability, and delivery of work.You will help guide the creation, improvement, and growth of cutting-edge tools and products for musicians around the world, including our video distribution platform, instant mastering, and artist tools. - Oversee system designs for payment processing and broader infrastructure, reviewing product or system development code to address complex and ambiguous situations related to payments.
- Develop the long-term technical vision and roadmap for the team, focusing on the evolution of payment processing capabilities. Evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and scale payment infrastructure to business needs.
- Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization’s goals. Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
- Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization’s goals. Meet regularly with direct reports to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching.
- Review code developed by engineers, with an emphasis on best practices in payment systems and security compliance, providing feedback to ensure reliable and efficient payment solutions.
- Passion for technology, particularly in payments and financial systems (e.g., personal projects, open-source involvement related to payment gateways or platforms).
- Show clear communication within organization and teams.
- Plan with senior leaders across many functions within the organization.

🎼 Qualifications we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of engineering team management or team lead experience
- 6+ years of working directly within payments engineering teams
- 2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Strong software development skills in JavaScript, Node.js, SQL, CSS, HTML, and languages like Java, PHP, Python, or similar
- Strong understanding of cloud environments and tool chains
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Desire to work in a diverse team
- Knowledge and operational experience developing and scaling event driven services
- Understanding of full-stack software development
- Hands-on experience with Agile and Scrum software development methodologies
