Samsung System LSI designs the silicon board for OLEDoS, while Samsung Foundry manufactures the wafers. The wafers then undergo a series of processes at Samsung Display’s A1 facility, where organic material is deposited, and encapsulation is performed.

Samsung Display envisions handling color filter and micro lens array (MLA) tasks internally as OLEDoS supply increases. This strategic move could streamline the production process and potentially enhance efficiency.

Interestingly, Samsung MX Business, Samsung’s smartphone unit, initially received OLEDoS samples from Samsung Display for its own MR device but ultimately chose Sony as its OLEDoS supplier.
