
Mando, Boba and Ahsoka are look like certain for the large display screen, in a brand new Star Wars film to be directed by franchise knowledgeable Dave Filoni.
Showing on-stage on the London Star Wars Celebration on Friday morning, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy introduced no fewer than three new Star Wars movies, to be directed by Star Wars Rebels creator/Mandalorian EP Filoni, Academy Award nominee James Mangold (Logan, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Future) and two-time Academy Award winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (Saving Face, A Lady within the River: The Value of Forgiveness).
Respectively set within the “previous, current and future,” Mangold’s movie will happen 25,000 years prior to now and chronicle the Daybreak of the Jedi; Filoni’s entry will function a “end result” of The Mandalorian and its contemporaries (The Guide of Boba Fett and the upcoming Ahsoka); and Obaid-Chinoy’s characteristic happens 15 years after the occasions of Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker and has trilogy star Daisy Ridley reprising her position as Rey.
No timetable was even hinted at for any of the three movies.
The Mandalorian is at the moment streaming its third season on Wednesdays, with two episodes left to go, whereas the Rosario Dawson-led Ahsoka is now penciled in for an August 2023 release (watch trailer).
The Guide of Boba Fett streamed its finale nicely over a 12 months in the past, and there was no phrase on further seasons — although Mandalorian director Rick Famuyiwa stated on Friday at Star Wars Celebration that the following two episodes of The Mandalorian will supply “decision” to its personal season in addition to The Guide of Boba Fett.
