Meet Julianne Moore’s newly engaged son, Caleb Freundlich: the May December actress celebrated the happy news on Instagram – and Halle Berry and Ellen Pompeo commented too
The pics show a very happy-looking Caleb and Morgan, who reportedly enjoyed a wine-soaked engagement dinner with Moore and her husband Bart Freundlich in New York on August 6, according to British media.
Here’s what we know about the Academy Award-winning actress’ son:
Caleb Freundlich has famous parents
He has a sister
Caleb has a younger sister called Liv Freundlich, who looks just like her mum. The 22-year-old has joined fashion events by Ralph Lauren and even posed for a Bulgari Mother’s Day campaign with her mum in 2022.
Caleb played college basketball
Per a post on Moore’s Instagram, he graduated from the institution during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. “We could not be prouder of everything he has accomplished these last 4 years,” she wrote in the post, “graduating with honours, playing for @davidsonbasketball and getting into grad school … We love you so much Cal and we are SO PROUD.”
He is a musician
Freundlich went on to get a master’s degree in music from NYU Steinhardt according to his LinkedIn bio. His page also notes that he is currently adjunct professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and a media composer and songwriter who specialises in music for film, TV, and video games.
Apparently, his love of music comes from his mum and dad. “It definitely all started with my parents,” he told Shoutout LA in 2022. “They always wished they could play an instrument and so they were adamant on me learning one when I was young. They were supportive no matter how it sounded.”
He shares snippets of his love life on Instagram
Freundlich is clearly smitten with his long-term girlfriend, now fiancée, Kibriyaá Morgan, who he has been dating for over seven years, according to his Instagram posts.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Morgan works as a senior content coordinator at business news website Morning Brew. Before that, she did jobs and internships at NBC Universal, NBC Sports Group, Davidson College and Fox Sports, to name a few.
He’s close with his mum
Neither Freundlich nor his mum are afraid to express their public admiration for one another on their respective social media accounts. In May 2020, Freundlich shared a video of the twosome on Instagram for Mother’s Day and captioned the post: “Last pick in gym class, first pick in our hearts. Happy Mama’s Day to the greatest to ever do it”.
