Meet Captain America star Harrison Ford’s 5 adult children – who all do different jobs: from a 57-year-old chef who opened LA’s first gastropub, to ex-rock star Malcolm and cycling tour guide Willard

In an interview with The Independent in 2010 when asked if he felt like an old dad at 67, he replied: “Yeah, obviously I’m getting older, but I don’t relate to it very much. It doesn’t interest me as something to dwell on. I have a nine-year-old kid at home. I feel like the father of a nine-year-old kid.”

That “nine-year-old kid” is now a 23-year-old adult – and has four older siblings. So just who are Harrison Ford’s children, Ben, Willard, Malcolm, Georgia and Liam? Here’s what you need to know about them.

1. Ben Ford, 57

Ben is Harrison Ford’s eldest son and was born long before the actor made it big. Back in 1966 when he came into the world, his father was still 10 years away from scoring the part of Han Solo in Star Wars and married to his first wife, illustrator Mary Marquardt. Now 57, Ben is an accomplished chef and restaurateur who opened “LA’s first gastropub” in 2006, per the LA Times.

“My dad … taught me resilience as a young father and later helped give me the courage to pursue my dreams,” Ben wrote on X (formerly Twitter) in 2019. Similarly, on Instagram, Ben thanked Marquardt for her “unconditional love and sharp wit”.

2. Willard Ford, 55

Willard was Harrison and Marquardt’s second son together, born three years after Ben. Now 55, he’s gone into the sports and fitness business. He runs LA’s Strong Sports Gym which, according to his LinkedIn page, trains people in “boxing, wrestling, MMA, weightlifting and endurance sports”.

He also geeks out on bikes. He is co-founder of VeloAsia and leads bike tours to countries around the world, which have so far included Mexico, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Japan and France.

3. Malcolm Ford, 36

Malcolm is the actor’s first child with his second wife Melissa Mathison. The couple welcomed Malcolm in 1987 and he’s grown up to be an entertainer too – although in a slightly different field: music. Interview magazine described his now defunct band The Dough Rollers as having a “southern blues influence” and evolving over time to sound “less rockabilly and more rock”. Per People, in their heyday they opened for Bob Dylan and Queens of the Stone Age.

4. Georgia Ford, 34

The Indiana Jones star’s only daughter was also born to Mathison, and she turned 34 this June. Per IMDB, she followed her father into acting, though has only been in a handful of small productions to date. She grew up with epilepsy and, as a result, Harrison has spent a lot of his career campaigning and fundraising for the cause, per Us Weekly – even auctioning of his Han Solo jacket in 2016.

5. Liam Flockhart Ford, 23

Harrison met his current wife – Ally McBeal star Calista Flockhart – at the Golden Globes in 2002 when she was 38 and he was 60, as noted by People. At that point, Flockhart had just adopted a son, Liam, the year before. The couple married in 2010 – and Harrison adopted him too. “She’s devoted herself to Liam and has done a really wonderful job raising him,” The Fugitive actor told Reader’s Digest. “I’m happy to now have a part of the job.”

Liam graduated from Amherst College in Massachusetts last year, according to People, and is known as something of a thrill seeker in the family – having already persuaded his ageing dad to go skydiving with him, as seen on People.
