Man in Sahiwal weapons down seven of his household over land dispute – Pakistan

SAHIWAL: A person gunned down seven members of his household, together with his mom, two brothers, a sister, a sister-in-law, two minor nephews and critically injured a niece, over “unfair” distribution of the household’s inherited land at Bari Rakh village on Depalpur Highway, Pakpattan district, on Saturday.

As per police sources, the prime suspect, Sarwar, had a dispute over division of 48 acres of the household’s agricultural land together with his brothers. In the meantime, Sarwar’s elder brother, Iftikhar, received greater than 25 acres transferred in his title and gave solely 5 acres to the suspect and one other youthful brother Shaheryar.

The police sources stated Sarwar harboured a grudge in opposition to Iftikhar and Shaheryar over the difficulty.

Police stated on reaching dwelling, the suspect first killed his mom, Basheean Bibi, who was asleep within the courtyard and later broke opened the door of a room the place his sister-in-law Asia Bibi, spouse of Iftikhar, her two sons, Ahad (9), Ahmed (11), his youthful sister Muftah Bibi (22), had taken shelter, and sprayed them with bullets, leaving all of them lifeless on the spot. The DPO advised Daybreak on cellphone that 4 police groups, together with a CIA workforce, led by two DSPs had been conducting raids at totally different places to arrest the suspect and his accomplices.
