PESHAWAR: The excise division’s narcotics management wing on Monday arrested a person and recovered heroin-filled capsules from his abdomen.
The division had obtained details about an individual having reached Haji Camp bus terminal with the intention to journey to the federal capital.
“We began tracing the person and located him close to Haji Camp bus terminal,” a senior excise official stated, including that the accused, Mohammad Akram, a resident of Chiniot, Punjab, deliberate to journey to Islamabad after which to the UK.
The official stated throughout preliminary investigation, the accused stated he was carrying medicine in his abdomen, after which he was shifted to the Woman Studying Hospital, the place three capsules containing round 180 grams of heroin had been recovered from his physique.
A case was registered towards him on the excise police station.
