Love Island star Jack Fincham granted bail after sentencing in dog attack case, appeals jail term
Reality TV star Jack Fincham has been granted bail as he appeals a six-week jail sentence following his guilty plea in a dog attack case. The Love Island winner, 32, appeared at Southend-on-Sea Magistrates’ Court, where he admitted to being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog.
The incident, which took place in Swanley, Kent, in September 2022, involved Fincham’s black Cane Corso injuring runner Robert Sudell. A second incident in Grays, Essex, occurred in June 2024, though no injuries were reported. The court determined that a further suspended sentence was not appropriate, leading to his custodial sentence.
Fincham’s on-off girlfriend, TOWIE star Chloe Brockett, was present during the hearing and was seen breaking down in tears as the verdict was read. His legal team has since filed an appeal, allowing Fincham to be released on bail pending the outcome.
Following the hearing, Fincham was seen in Essex walking arm-in-arm with Brockett. The couple was spotted entering a Tesco supermarket, with Fincham wearing an all-black outfit paired with a dark brown coat and white trainers. Brockett wore a cream coat over an all-black ensemble, accessorized with a Louis Vuitton handbag.
Fincham, who was already serving a suspended sentence for a previous driving offense, was ordered to pay £3,680 in court fees, which includes £200 in compensation to Sudell and £50 to a second victim. A payment plan has been set for him to pay £400 per month upon release.
Fincham first gained fame after winning Love Island in 2018 alongside Dani Dyer, daughter of actor Danny Dyer. His case continues to draw public interest as he awaits the court’s decision on his appeal.
