Aspire has health centers in four Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.Position SummaryAspire Indiana Health’s FQHC is looking for someone who is excited to be a part of their patient care team in an integrative healthcare setting. Candidates with minimal integrative health care experience are still encouraged to apply! This position will provide high quality, compassionate, brief therapy services over a course of approximately 5-10 sessions to individuals with behavioral health needs in an FQHC setting. This position will focus on establishing clear short-term treatment goals and measurable objectives with patients so they can realize success and mastery over their behavioral health barriers. This provider will work to develop motivation for change in the patient and celebrate their steps toward their goals using solution focused and other brief therapy techniques.This provider will also be providing on-site expertise and guidance to FQHC providers on how to address the behavioral health needs of their patients, working alongside medical providers and Behavioral Health Consultants while also meeting with patients for 30-50 minute therapy sessions.This is a hybrid position requiring at least 60% direct service time in the office.Essential Responsibilities
- Huddling with providers at the beginning of each clinic day to discuss any wellness needs of the patients on their schedules (including stressful life events, mild/moderate anxiety and depression or other barriers that may be addressed with short-term therapy treatment)
- Receive warm hand offs from medical and psychiatric providers and Behavioral Health Consultants to address psychiatric concerns/barriers
- Providing concise, yet comprehensive, assessment of behavioral health issues
- Working with patients to set specific and attainable goals related to these psychiatric related barriers to overall health
- Linking patient to internal or external resources to meet their identified goals when needed
- Assessing risk and planning for safety for high risk patients
- Providing behavioral health expertise to medical providers about patients, resulting in more comprehensive assessment of patient cases
- Providing referrals to longer term treatment with Aspire’s Behavioral Health Outpatient services if short-term therapy is not enough to assist a patient to reach their goals.
Education/Experience
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or related field from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education required
- Two (2) years’ experience in a clinical setting working with a variety of populations required
- Must have excellent diagnostic and treatment planning skills
- Experience with brief therapies, highly preferred
Licensure
- Must be recognized as a Licensed Psychologist (HSPP), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) by the State of Indiana
