The New York Jets ranked 29th out of 32 teams in the NFL Players Association’s (NFLPA) annual team report card, with owner Woody Johnson receiving an “F” grade—the lowest score among NFL owners.
This marks a significant drop from last year when Johnson received a B-. The NFLPA’s report highlighted concerns from players regarding Johnson’s commitment to team facilities and culture.
Players gave him an average score of 5.58 out of 10 for his willingness to invest in facilities, and expressed dissatisfaction with his approach to building a competitive team.
One of the primary complaints was the team’s food program. After receiving negative feedback last year, players felt management responded by reducing the food budget and cutting ties with their long-time dietician.
The Jets’ food program ranked 24th for taste and 27th for dining area, which contributed to the overall poor player satisfaction. Johnson acknowledged the need for improvement, stating he must be a better owner.
