As the Information Program Manager, you will drive impactful communication strategies, manage engaging content, and oversee the Foundation’s information program to enhance fundraising and public relations efforts.Our Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5-10 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, ideally in a non-profit or healthcare field focused on Alzheimer’s or neurodegenerative diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, social media, Salesforce, and Asana.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to create engaging content for print and digital platforms, including e-newsletters and websites.
- Strong organizational skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines and managing priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership in implementing strategic communication processes and building relationships with stakeholders.
- High energy, collaborative, and committed to confidentiality, with a passion for creating impactful content and measuring its effectiveness.
How You Will Spend Your Day:
- Write clear program updates (in simple terms) for booklets, brochures, websites, and reports, as well as for organizational meetings.
- Create a conservative and effective annual information program budget to support fundraising strategies.
- Draft and distribute press releases and pitch the media to generate positive press coverage while engaging, cultivating, and managing press relationships.
- Cultivate solid working relationships with external vendors, consultants, and freelance science writers, and oversee the publication of an award-winning magazine three times a year.
- Maintain clear and consistent messaging, branding, and standards of excellence across all media.
- Consult with lab directors and researchers to publicize research studies.
- Write a bi-weekly e-newsletter highlighting research news articles and collaborate with the Creative Marketing Manager to design and distribute the newsletter.
- Oversee the primary content production calendar of program deadlines and ensure timely launch and publication of marketing and communications materials.
- Write engaging copy for social media platforms.
- Update and maintain the information program procedures manual as part of succession planning.
- Perform general office duties, such as answering phones, scheduling meetings, and filing paperwork.
