Good News for Karachi! Rains to Start from July 8
The recent cloudy skies over Karachi have brought relief from the scorching summer heat, thanks to the cooling sea breeze. As residents eagerly await the monsoon rains, the Meteorological Department predicts their arrival soon.
Today, despite the dominant cloud cover, Karachi’s temperature is expected to peak at 37 degrees Celsius. The current humidity level remains high at 70%, contributing to the hot and humid conditions expected over the next 24 hours.
Looking ahead, the Met Department forecasts that Karachi will experience rainfall starting July 8, promising a much-needed cool-down. This anticipated rain is expected to bring relief from the prevailing weather conditions.
In Lahore, early morning rain has already provided respite from the summer heat, creating a pleasant atmosphere. According to the Meteorological Department, intermittent rain will persist throughout the day, further lowering temperatures.
The monsoon has officially begun in Lahore, evidenced by widespread cloud cover since early morning and substantial rainfall in various areas including Mall Road, Garhi Shahu, Railway Station, Brandreth Road, Gulberg, Ferozepur Road, Model Town, Calvary Ground, Walton, DHA, Wahdat Road, Kalma Chowk, and Garden Town. This rainfall has significantly cooled down the weather.
Thursday’s weather in Lahore is expected to reach a maximum of 34 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius, with thunderstorms likely at various intervals.
Both Karachi and Lahore are gearing up for the monsoon season with hopes that the anticipated rains will bring relief from the prevailing heat and humidity. The Meteorological Department continues to closely monitor the weather situation and provide regular updates.
