Gold prices soar to record high locally, internationally

Gold has become even more expensive, with prices reaching record levels once again. Increased global investment, including strong buying interest from the United States, has driven gold prices to new heights both internationally and locally.

In the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce climbed by US$13 to 2,997 rupees. Correspondingly, in local markets, the 24-carat gold rate per tola increased by 1,100 rupees to hit a new record of 314,800 rupees.

Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold rose by 943 rupees to a record 269,890 rupees.

In contrast, silver prices remained steady. The per tola price of silver held at 3,530 rupees, while the rate for 10 grams was unchanged at 3,026 rupees.
