Gold prices in Pakistan rise amid international surge

Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant increase on Friday, following a rise in international rates.

The price of gold per tola in the local market gained Rs1,100, reaching Rs279,400. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs943, settling at Rs239,540, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

This follows a Rs1,300 increase in the price of gold per tola on Thursday, which had brought the price to Rs278,300.

The international gold market also experienced a rise, with gold prices reaching $2,676 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking an increase of $11 during the day.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained stable, holding steady at Rs3,350 per tola.
