Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. May be expected to write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections.Schedule: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day, Tuesday – Friday, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm | Location: Hospitality Lane Administrative Offices, San Bernardino, CAThis position does not offer remote or hybrid options.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DELIVERABLES
- Under direction, performs specialized healthcare information systems analysis and provides expertise in one or more areas of systems analysis for a healthcare cluster.
- Provides expertise in healthcare information systems analysis, including definition of user requirements, feasibility studies, design, program specifications, testing, and implementation of clinical/financial applications or infrastructure; ensures functional and technical requirements are fully documented.
- Evaluates impacts, analyzes constraints, and assesses risk to support go/no go for complex systems; coordinates preparation of detailed specifications, addressing scope and boundaries of the system, data requirements, algorithms, user functions, forms and reports, clinical/financial/patient access workflows, interfaces, security, and business
continuity requirements. * Documents process flows, existing and future process flow improvements.
- Standardizes all data elements across all settings. Documents all alerts’ notifications and approvals. Defines all interfaces requirements. Completes system design for
implementation and optimization of EHR modules. Conducts unit, system tests and integration tests. Develops conversion plans, policies and procedures and training
plans. Supports system go-live, ongoing maintenance and enhancements. * Identifies and manages new system specifications or user services and coordination of installations and application upgrades with LLUH IT.
- Gathers and translates high-level business requirements to detailed technical designs/documentation and presents findings to clinical governance.
- Provides application support for enhancement requests, break/fix issues, special projects and process improvement changes.
- Work with end-users on improving the user experience and communicate ideas and feed back to the EHR Developers / Supervisor / Management team.
- Work with 3rd party vendors or collaborators to create and deactivate user accounts, ensure permissions, and access levels for staff are set correctly.
- Produce clear and concise documentation for various modules of EHR/ EMR /EDR and other applications and ensure that all documentation stays up to date.
- Participate in training clinical/administrative staff on new forms and functionality and work with staff on testing the new forms and functionality.
- Create basic reports for clinical documentation, auditing, and data requests.
- Ability to travel to other clinics as necessary; must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Valid California driver’s license, and auto insurance. As a requirement of this position, you must receive EPIC certification for the module you have been hired into. EPIC (1+ modules) preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in healthcare electronic health records (EHR) systems or similar systems required. Required knowledge/experience: Experience in performing information systems analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of large complex enterprise application systems (clinical and/or financial). Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and technical skills. Familiarity with healthcare terms, data, and technology, including EPIC or other EHR/EMR/EDR products. Healthcare-related systems include Ambulatory, Cadence, Registration, Patient
Scheduling (PS), Wisdom, Tapestry, Prelude, MyChart, Professional Billing, Training, clinical applications, and ancillary services applications (lab, radiology, dental, pharmacy). * Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Some knowledge of project management software and other project management tools for task tracking and team collaboration efforts. Able to use project planning software, spreadsheets, and word processing software; input data, typing, copying, and effective use of the telephone. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; usecomputer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS project, Access, etc). * Interpersonal Skills: Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate; accept direction.
- Essential Mental Abilities: Must be able to define problems and solutions, prioritize workload, critically think, work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.
