A Privately held 50-year-old organization dedicated to providing exceptional care across our assisted living, memory care, and independent living facilities.Position Overview:The Chief Operations Officer, will be expected to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) after a transition from the retiring CEO. S/he will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of our multi-facility organization. The CEO will ensure the delivery of compassionate, high-quality care, sustainable growth, and strong financial performance, while maintaining compliance with HUD and other regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of nursing, staffing, and memory care management, with a focus on compassionate leadership for team members, residents and their families.Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy: Lead the development and execution of organizational strategies to meet long-term growth, profitability, and quality care goals.
- Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure compliance with HUD and other regulatory standards, while maintaining ethical operations.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple facilities, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery.
- Staffing & Team Management: Develop and implement effective staffing strategies to ensure sufficient, well-trained, and compassionate personnel. Experience with Nursing staffing strategies will be particularly beneficial.
- Financial Management: Oversee the financial performance of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management, while meeting operational and resident care goals.
- Nursing & Clinical Care: Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to ensure the highest level of care for residents in assisted living, memory care, and independent living.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders to foster trust, engagement, and transparency.
- Growth & Development: Lead business development efforts, including the expansion of services and possible future acquisition of new facilities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a senior executive in assisted living, memory care, or healthcare services, with a strong understanding of multi-facility management.
- HUD experience is preferred, with a track record of navigating regulatory environments.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in nursing and staffing within a healthcare setting.
- Compassionate leadership style with a passion for serving senior populations.
- Strong financial acumen and experience overseeing a budget of ~$25 million.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve high standards of care and operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using PointClickCare software a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
