  • Skydiver falls from 13,500 feet and miraculously survives.
  • Both her parachutes fail in rare scenario called “downplane”.
  • She spends four weeks in hospital and is able to walk within three months.

A skydiver’s miraculous escape from death after falling from 13,500 feet has astonished many, Daily Mail reported.

Jordan Hatmaker, 35, had two parachutes and both of them failed. This rare situation is called a “downplane.”

When she released the chutes, they flew in opposite directions, causing a horrifying spin for the adventurer. Her body sped towards the earth.

Just after 20 seconds of pulling the cord, she hit the ground and sustained severe injuries.

Despite such a terrible fall, she was conscious through all of it. Her back broke and so did her leg.

After spending four weeks in the hospital, it took only three months to be able to walk again.

Jordan reported that everything happened “really quickly”.

Her leg was suspended in the air as she fell at the speed of 125 miles per hour.

“I’ve never heard sounds like those come out of my body. I screamed bloodcurdling screams,” she said.

The adrenaline junkie fell on her back, her left leg hitting the ground first.

“I really hope to send a message of trying to find the silver lining in whatever situation you’re in. You never know how strong you are until you have to be, don’t underestimate yourself.”

Fortunately, people rushed over to help her. An air ambulance took her to the hospital

Jordan first skydived in 2015 and fell in love with it.
