(Reuters) – U.S. President Joe Biden authorized an emergency declaration for Mississippi on Sunday after a robust storm tore throughout the state, killing at the least 25 individuals there and one in Alabama.

Biden ordered federal assist to complement state, tribal and native restoration efforts within the affected areas, a White Home Assertion stated. The funding will likely be obtainable to affected individuals within the counties of Carroll, Humphreys, Monroe, and Sharkey, the assertion stated.
