The duo attended the NBA game from celebrity row at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Carmichael opted for a casual outfit, while Plaza wore a black jacket and an orange cap.
Plaza and Carmichael, 37, appear to have a long-standing friendship. Carmichael, who is openly gay, and Plaza’s representatives were not immediately available for comment.
Plaza married Baena in 2020 after secretly tying the knot during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The “White Lotus” actress and the filmmaker had been together for ten years before getting married. The couple collaborated on several projects, including *Life After Beth* in 2014 and *The Little Hours* in 2017.
In an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Plaza recalled jokingly suggesting to Baena on their 10th anniversary, “We should do something. Get an ice cream cone or do something special,” and “joked about getting married.”
The actress then discovered 1hourmarriage.com, a website facilitating quick marriage licenses and ceremonies, leading to their private wedding at home.
Though Plaza and Baena rarely shared details about their relationship on social media, they occasionally appeared together at red carpet events.
