Job description: Summary:Since 1997, AlphaStaff has delivered HR outsourcing solutions to thousands of small and medium-sized businesses across the country, as well as some large organizations. We are searching for an Accounts Payable Specialist for one of our key clients located in Bartow, Florida, an industrial maintenance company focused on providing high quality products and services, and excellent service and support to its clients. You will have the opportunity to join a close-knit, family-like team where everyone supports each other and works collaboratively. The ideal candidate is a meticulous and detail-oriented A/P and purchasing individual able to work autonomously within a few months of starting.Responsibilities:

  • Receive and verify invoices for accuracy and proper authorization.
  • Enter and post invoices into the accounting system (Sage CRE 300).
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
  • Prepare and process payments to vendors, ensuring timely and accurate payment cycles.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
  • Generate accounting reports.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues efficiently.
  • Receive requisitions from account managers, assign purchase order numbers, and place orders with vendors.
  • Ensure accurate and timely ordering, receiving, and tracking of goods; maintain good relationships with vendors and resolve any issues related to orders and deliveries.
  • Perform additional tasks and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in Accounts Payable.
  • Experience coding invoices and using enterprise accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and coding.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently after initial training.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
