Allison Holker faces backlash from tWitch’s family over NDA and new memoir

Allison Holker, widow of the late Stephen “tWitch” Boss, is under fire from his family over her recently announced memoir and the NDAs required at his funeral. 

Holker’s book, This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light, has sparked backlash, with family members accusing her of profiting from tWitch’s life story and silencing their voices.

TMZ obtained the funeral NDA, which prevented attendees, including tWitch’s family, from profiting off interviews, books, or media projects about the late DJ. The document ensures that any proceeds from such endeavors go directly to Holker, a clause the family views as exploitative.

Holker’s daughter, Weslie Fowler, defended the NDA, claiming its primary purpose was to prevent photos or videos of tWitch’s body from being leaked. Holker detailed in her book that she limited the open-casket funeral to 13 attendees and insisted on NDAs to protect tWitch’s privacy and shield their children from potentially distressing images.

Critics, including tWitch’s family, have taken issue with Holker’s media appearances promoting the memoir and challenging her claims about tWitch’s struggles. Holker, however, has been clear that 100% of the book’s proceeds will benefit the Move with Kindness Foundation, established in honor of her late husband.

Sources confirm that no breaches of the NDA have occurred, and Holker has not personally profited from its enforcement. Despite the controversy, she remains committed to preserving tWitch’s legacy while navigating the tension with his family.
