Job title: Director of Internal Services
Company: Baringa
Job description: Head of Internal ServicesAbout Baringa:
We set out to build the world’s most trusted consulting firm – creating lasting impact for clients and pioneering a positive, people-first way of working. We work with everyone from FTSE 100 names to bright new start-ups, in every sector. You’ll find us collaborating shoulder-to-shoulder with our clients, from the big picture right down to the detail: helping them define their strategy, deliver complex change, spot the right commercial opportunities, manage risk, or bring their purpose and sustainability goals to life. Our clients love how we get to know what makes their organisations tick – slotting seamlessly into their teams and being proudly geeky about solving their challenges. As a Certified B Corporation®, we’ve proven that we’ve built social and environmental good into every bit of what we do.We have hubs in Europe, the US, Asia and Australia, and we work all around the world – from a wind farm in Wyoming to a boardroom in Berlin. Find us wherever there’s a challenge to be tackled and an impact to be made. Our Baringa Enablement teamOur internal functions are known as the Baringa Enablement team (BE), and our purpose is to enable Baringa to thrive and succeed. We do this through the work of our teams People, Marketing, Finance, Technology, Cyber, Legal, Risk, Business Services and Sustainability and in our global locations – UK, Germany, Switzerland, America, Australia and Singapore.Baringa prides itself on a high degree of partnership and collaboration between Consulting and Baringa Enablement teams. Baringa Enablement is seen as an integral part of the business. For our consultants who spend a lot of time working away from home and in different countries, we represent an important degree of expertise, constancy, and support. In America, Baringa is growing fast and maturing from a small, intimate business with high degrees of entrepreneurialism and individual independence, to a larger, multi-sector business which needs more consistency and infrastructure – but not too much. We don’t want to lose our pioneering, start-up-style adaptability and flexibility, but at the same time, we want to operate with more consistency and predictability.BE is at the heart of navigating this change and it’s a demanding challenge. We don’t always have the best systems and processes in place – so we need people who want to create them and can work with a bit of chaos along the way.
