The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) announced that Eidul Adha 2024 expected to observed on Monday, June 17. According to the PMD’s Climate Data Processing Centre, the crescent moon for Dhul-Hijjah anticipated to be born on June 6 at 5:38 PM.

The PMD has provided specific details about the moon’s visibility. In Karachi, the moon will be 26 hours and 8 minutes old at sunset, with an expected visibility duration of 72 minutes after sunset. Despite these scientific predictions, the final decision on the moon sighting will be made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.

Eid Holidays in Pakistan 2024 Schedule

The official holiday calendar for 2024 has designated June 17 to 19 as the Eidul Adha holidays. With government offices typically closed on weekends, the holiday period will effectively start on Saturday, June 15.

If Eidul Adha is officially confirmed for June 18, the federal government is expected to adjust the holiday schedule accordingly. A formal notification detailing any changes to the holiday dates will be issued by the federal government in the days leading up to Eidul Adha.
