Who is Emily Baldoni, the wife of Justin Baldoni from It Ends With Us? The Swedish actress had roles in Jane the Virgin and Five Feet Apart, and also appears in the Colleen Hoover adaptation
Baldoni’s absence from joint press events and the lack of group photos with Lively during the movie’s New York premiere led fans to speculate that creative differences between Lively, a co-producer on the movie, and Baldoni might have caused the rift.
During the New York premiere on August 6, instead of standing next to his co-stars, Baldoni stuck close by his wife, Emily Baldoni.
Here’s everything you need to know about Emily Baldoni, Justin Baldoni’s wife – who also plays a small role in It Ends with Us.
She’s Swedish
Emily Baldoni (née Foxler) was born in 1984, in Uppsala, Sweden, per People.
“I’m 100 per cent Swedish and now you will probably hear [the accent,]” Emily said in a 2013 interview with Mandatory.com. “When people know [I’m Swedish] they’re like, ‘Ah, there it is.’”
She’s an actress
Emily also frequently works with her husband. She played a small role in the romcom Jane the Virgin alongside Justin who plays the male lead in the series. She also appears as a side character in Baldoni’s 2019 romantic drama Five Feet Apart.
Similarly, in It Ends With Us, Emily makes a guest appearance as the doctor of Lively’s character Lily Bloom.
She and Baldoni have been married for over a decade
Baldoni proposed to Emily on April 13, 2013 at Blu Jam Cafe, the site of their first date. Baldoni rented out the entire cafe and set up the restaurant with cameras. There was a TV with a video of their couple’s journey and the actor even arranged a flash mob for his future wife!
The video of their proposal went viral on YouTube and currently has over 14 million views.
The couple tied the knot that same year in Corona, California and celebrated their 11th anniversary in July 2024.
They share two children, daughter Maiya, 9, and son Maxwell, 6.
Her husband sings her praises
In a 2019 cover for Mini magazine, Baldoni expressed the admiration he has for his wife and the impact she has on their children.
“I hope they grow up and have much more of her than me,” the actor said.
