Meet Carson Beck, Georgia Bulldogs’ star QB and Hanna Cavinder’s boyfriend: the Florida native has a beauty queen sis, won the 2018 Florida Mr. Football title in high school, and drives a Lamborghini
On July 22, Beck lit up social media with a series of snapshots on his Instagram, with the caption “gvo” (good vibes only). One particular photo stole the spotlight though: it shows a heartwarming moment between Beck and Cavinder with their hands intertwined.
So just who is this quarterback who has seemingly captured Cavinder’s heart?
Carson Beck has a beauty pageant sister
Carson Beck is the son of Chris Beck, a former naval officer, and Tracy Beck, who previously worked at Duval Country Public Schools, per Sportskeeda.
Carson’s sister Kylie made waves in 2021 by clinching two beauty pageant titles: Young Miss Freedom USA and Miss Capital City’s Outstanding Teen. As revealed on Kylie’s Instagram, she is also an enthusiastic dancer and cheerleader at the University of Georgia. The Becks can often be seen supporting her performances.
He has been an American football star since high school
Hailing from Florida, the 22-year-old quarterback was destined for greatness even in high school. Crowned with the prestigious 2018 Florida Mr. Football title, Beck began his ascent with a staggering 3,546 yards and 39 touchdowns in just 14 games in his junior season at Mandarin High School, per The Florida Times-Union.
He transferred from Alabama to Georgia for college
Beck transferred from Alabama to the University of Georgia in 2019 due to several factors, including a staff shake-up at the University of Alabama, per AL.
Enrolling early in the spring 2020 semester, Beck donned the red and black of the Georgia Bulldogs, per Sports Illustrated – a move that would etch his name in collegiate sports lore.
He owns a Lamborghini
Beck has a penchant for luxury wheels, too. It was revealed earlier this year that Beck bought a sleek black Lamborghini Urus Performante, boasting a jaw-dropping retail value of around US$270,000, per DawgNation.
“I’ve always been a car guy since I was a kid,” said Beck during a press conference on the first day of spring practice in March. After facing comments about him “wasting money” on a sports car, he simply shrugged it off, saying, “It’s not too big of a deal. I just drive it.”
What is Carson Beck’s net worth?
As per Yardbarker, as of February, Beck’s net worth was pegged at a modest US$200,000. But considering his extravagant splurge on his Lamborghini, that figure must pale in comparison to his actual net worth.
His estimated NIL earnings are a cool US$1.6 million, placing him sixth in the college Football NIL Rank. (NIL stands for “name, image and likeness” and refers to college athletes’ ability to profit off of themselves through marketing and promotional opportunities.) He also reportedly boasts lucrative partnerships with Associated Credit Union, The Players’ Lounge and Zero FG Energy.
The talented quarterback stood tall as the seventh-ranked prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft, DawgNation reported at the end of last year. During the same time period, there were questions around whether Beck would stick with the Bulldogs, per The New York Times. There were even rumours that he was asking for US$4 million from the Georgia collective – a company that facilitates endorsement opportunities for athletes, usually founded by university alumni – before returning, but he’s since denied the speculation while continuing to play for his university team.
“Obviously, being the quarterback at the University of Georgia, there’s going to be NIL opportunities,” he said, per the same publication. “But that was never a main factor in my decision to come back.”
