Job description: RECRUITERdivision: Talent, Learning & Culturedepartment: Talent, Learning & Culturereports to: Director of Talent, Learning & Culture and Area Assistant Director of Talent, Learning & CultureJob Summary:The Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. Once selected, the recruiter will be responsible for tracking new hires from offer stage through post-orientation.Supervisory Responsibilities:Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manages all IHP job postings.
  • Responsible for Talent + Hire System (i.e., screening applications and keeping the system updated with appropriate applicant statuses).
  • Maintain and develop pipeline of eligible candidates for future open positions
  • Conduct interviews via phone or in-person
  • Qualify or reject candidates based on interview feedback and resume reviews
  • Serve as contact person for questions from candidates
  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating job descriptions via T:Drive and Talent Bank to ensure legal compliance, federal and state local laws are applicable.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Manages all new hire screenings from reference, drug screening, background check and motor vehicle records.
  • Prepares and extends job offers.
  • Responsible for job posting, advertisement, and social media processes for advertising jobs.
  • Oversees paperwork and processes for interview screening guides and other selection materials.
  • Responsible for the recruitment of International Intern Programs (J1, H2B, etc.) to include managing partnerships with sponsoring organizations.
  • Responsible for maintaining international intern tracking spreadsheet via excel.
  • Responsible for the relocation process for international interns to include arrival details, notifying leaders, and housing setup i.e. furniture, utensils, bedding, linen, etc.
  • Conduct Interview Workshop Training with leaders as needed.
  • Collaborates with the Director and Assistant Director of Talent, Learning & Culture during the offer process, wage salary determinations, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Organizes, attends, and participates in job fairs and recruiting events, locally and regionally.
  • Ensures recruiting materials are stocked and available for events, to include collateral and banners.
  • Responsible for building relationships with local and regional colleges and high schools to develop a pipeline of talent.
  • Responsible for ensuring all labor laws pertaining to recruitment and selection are posted and updated.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Spanish speaking ability strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED. College degree or vocational courses or equivalent work experience, as well as previous HR experience is strongly preferred. Candidates must have experience in delivering training in a hospitality and/or hotel and customer service environment, as well as in establishing training systems.
  • At least one to three years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing during recruitment fairs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
