Meet Tom Brady’s son Jack Moynahan, who’s tight with his dad – and reportedly even taller than him: could Gisele Bündchen’s American football-loving teenage stepson be the next NFL star?
In October 2022, the former couple made headlines when they announced that they amicably finalised their divorce. Both issued a statement that they would continue to co-parent their children, who would remain their priority, per Glamour.
As he begins makes his mark on the field, let’s a closer look at Moynahan’s passion for American football and his relationship with his family.
American football is in Jack Moynahan’s blood
The teenager plays American football in his high school, according to E! Online. In an October 2022 episode of Sirius XM’s podcast Let’s Go, Brady, 46, revealed that his son played in the position of free safety but sometimes stepped in as a quarterback.
Moynahan also seems to have picked up Brady’s commitment to the sport. People reported in August 2021 that he worked as a ball boy for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with Brady saying he took the job seriously.
Gisele Bündchen described him as her “bonus child”
In her 2018 memoir Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life, Bündchen, 44, called Moynahan her “bonus child”. She wrote that her stepson “has been a huge gift and blessing” in her life.
In the book, Moynahan was credited for accelerating his parents’ growth and maturity “in so many ways,” instilling in them obligation and responsibilities.
How are Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen co-parenting Jack Moynahan?
When Brady and Bündchen were still together, they reportedly had a net worth of US$580 million. However, Brady revealed in an interview on Spotify’s Drive with Jim Farley podcast that he considers instilling the right values and having his kids appreciate their lives is the “biggest challenge” as a parent.
He follows a healthy diet like his parents
Whether together or apart, Brady and Bündchen have long followed a strict diet, since their respective occupations require them to be in peak physical condition. Of course, as parents, they would want their kids to be healthy too. Their personal chef, Allen Campbell, ensures the whole family, including the children, enjoy a super healthy diet of about 80 per cent vegetables, according to an interview he gave to Boston.com.
But it seems the kids are allowed their cheat meals on occasion. American media reported that, soon after Brady’s divorce from Bündchen, he NFL star took his kids out for pizza at Dellarocco’s in Brooklyn, New York.
Tom Brady once stirred controversy for kissing his son too long
In the docuseries Tom vs. Time, which originally aired in 2018, a scene shows then 11-year-old Moynahan asking permission to see his fantasy football team’s standings. Brady, who is getting a massage, asked what he gets in return.
Moynahan then bends over and kisses his dad. “That was just like a peck,” Brady replied, prompting Moynahan to kiss him longer. Viewers found the interaction disturbing and inappropriate, reported Today.
