2024 Eid ul Adha Holidays in Karachi Announced by Sindh Government
The Sindh government has announced public holidays for Eid ul-Azha 2024. According to the official notification, all institutions under the Sindh government will remain closed from Monday, June 17 to Wednesday, June 19.
Eid al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is a significant religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide. It marks the end of the Hajj pilgrimage and commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God.
This year, the first day of Eid al-Adha 2024 in Pakistan falls on Monday, June 17. With these holidays, residents across Sindh will have ample time to participate in the celebrations and traditions associated with this festive period. This includes attending special prayers, preparing feasts, and spending time with family and friends.
As people gear up for the holiday, there will likely be an increase in travel and shopping activity, as families prepare for the festive celebrations. Businesses and markets are expected to see a surge in customers buying food, clothes, and gifts.
